Jennifer Gilliland aka Jenn Gil is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and ACE Functional Training Specialist.  She is also certified in Myofascial Release foam rolling, Rumble by R.I.P.P.E.D., TRX, PLYOGA, and battle ropes.  Jenn's fitness background includes yoga and meditation, amateur boxing, local running club member, casual golf player, strength and endurance exerciser, and speed skater.

In addition to training, Jenn works full-time in the Finance industry, which brings an understanding of busy schedules and the self-care necessary to stay healthy (both mentally and physically) while keeping up.  Let's transform your lifestyle together, and have some fun along the way.

Established in March 2018, J.Gil Fitness started by offering outdoor fitness bootcamps and online personal training.  In 2019, J.Gil Fitness added indoor group training to the schedule.  And collaborations began with local businesses and organizations to offer Pop Up events to celebrate the community and raise awareness.  J.Gil Fitness opened it's private fitness studio in 2020.  With this move came the ability to offer new group trainings, and additional services such as personal training, workout guides, challenges, and more.

J.Gil Fitness welcomed Kari Young to the Group Training Team in 2020.  She has taught and attended numerous Group Fitness classes over the years fueling her love of the industry.  A former dancer, Kari is a licensed Zumba and HIGH Fitness instructor.  She is also a certified AFAA Group Fitness, BarreAbove, TRX, and PLYOGA instructor. 


Kari's passion is meeting students where they're at in their journey and finding the best way to make fitness work for them. When not teaching, you can find her developing new choreography, hanging out with friends, and trying to adopt all of the animals.

Kari is the perfect Zumba teacher.  I couldn't believe how many calories I burned.

I have used Jenn’s expertise for both group classes and private training and can’t recommend her enough! I have some orthopedic issues that limit what/how I’m able to do certain workouts and she is great about taylor-making them to my accessibility and needs. Most importantly overall though, she’s a blast to work with!

It's been great for people to get back into a group and have some normalcy, physically and mentally.  I think it's really great for people to keep moving.

Totally recommend for any level of entry into your fitness goals. Classes are fun with great supportive instructor and fellow attendees, very affordable and great follow through with all fitness questions.

I don't know how Jenn does it with Online Personal Training because she's not there with me doing the workouts, but they're always spot on with what I'm looking for.

Where is J.Gil Fitness located?

  • Our private fitness studio is located at 503 S. Country Fair Drive #2E in Champaign, IL.

    • In-Studio Training:  Use the entrance on the North side of the building and head up the stairs, our Studio #2E is on the left.

    • Outdoor Training:  Meet outside the North side of the building, and we will enter the private, outdoor area as a group.

    • Live, Virtual Training:  Streaming link is provided in MyPTHub under calendar > events.

    • Pop Up Events and Class Previews:  Details will be sent by e-mail.

What are the studio hours?

  • The studio is open for scheduled training times and appointments only.  Group Training times can be found here and must be booked in advance.  Always check the Active Calendar for schedule changes, Studio closures, pop up events, and more.

What packages are available?  Where can I purchase?

  • Memberships, packages, guides, gift cards, and merchandise can be purchased here.  All purchases are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be split between multiple clients. 

  • Group Training:

    • Memberships are available for 4x, 6x, or unlimited credits to be used for any regularly scheduled Group Training.  Memberships are set to recurring billing every 4 weeks, and credits expire and the end of each billing cycle.  Memberships require no additional commitment - cancel or freeze the next billing cycle by e-mail with at least 5 business days notice.

    • FlexPass packages are available to drop in 1x, 5x, or 10x Group Trainings.  Credits expire 1 year from purchase date. 

    • Advanced class sign up is required and opens 1 week prior to class start time, and remains open until class start time.

    • Group Training Cancellation Policy:  Clients may cancel advanced sign ups up to 3 hours prior to start with no penalty.  Cancellations made within 3 hours of start time will result in loss of credit.  Classes cancelled by the Studio prior to start time will have no penalty.

  • Personal Training:

    • Online Personal Training packages are available to train 3x per week for 4 or 12 weeks with recurring billing.  Online Personal Training requires no additional commitment - cancel or freeze the next billing cycle by e-mail with at least 5 business days notice. 

      • Looking for more or less than 3 workouts per week?  Contact us about a personalized package. 

    • In-Studio and virtual personal training options are available with a personalized package.  Contact us for more details.

    • Personal Training Cancellation Policy:  Clients may cancel sessions up to 12 hours prior to start with no penalty.  Cancellations made within 12 hours of start time will result in loss of credit.  Sessions cancelled by the Studio prior to start time will have no penalty.

  • Workout Guides include unlimited access on MyPTHub for 1 year from purchase date, and can be downloaded for future use.

  • On-Demand Fitness includes unlimited access with an active package.

Any referral or discount programs?

  • New Clients* receive a free Personal Training consultation or Group Training class.  Contact us to sign up.

  • We want to meet your friends!  Refer a new client and receive 15% off** your next billing cycle after they sign up for a membership.

  • Discounts offered at J.Gil Fitness (contact us for the discount code to be used at checkout):

    • Receive a 15% discount*** when you sign up for both a Personal Training and Group Training membership. 

    • Receive a 15% discount*** when multiple people in your household have an active membership. 

    • Veterans receive 15% off*** Online Personal Training and Group Training - Unlimited packages.

*New clients defined as any person who has not trained with J.Gil Fitness in past 2 years.  Free class not applicable to events.  **Membership packages only, defined as a package with recurring billing.  One time discount cannot be combined with additional offers, specials, or discounts, and does not roll to the next billing cycle.  New Client must mention referral at time of sign up.  ***Cannot be combined with additional offers, specials, or discountsApplicable to membership packages only, defined as a package with recurring billing.  Multi-membership discount taken on lowest package.  Proof of same household required.

Who can participate?

  • All fitness levels welcome.  Always consult with a Physician prior to the start of any fitness program.  Must be 18 or older to participate, exceptions may be made on an individual basis for Personal Training.

Can I participate with an injury?

  • You know your body best.  We always practice safety first and encourage you to consult with a Physician.  If you were seen by a Physician, a release is required prior to training.   

Is equipment provided?

  • Yes, equipment is provided by J.Gil Fitness for all in-studio and outdoor trainings, and pop up events.  For virtual trainings, you are responsible for your own equipment, or similar items for use.  Equipment required by class is listed in MyPTHub by class under calendar > events.

  • We require that all Clients bring their own exercise mat or purchase one at the Studio.

  • Full coverage footwear is required to be worn at all times in-studio.

Is there a place to change clothes at the Studio?

  • Yes, however space is limited so we ask, if possible, you arrive dressed ready to workout.

Are there showers?

  • For use by Trainers only. 

Can I leave my personal items at the Studio?

  • We ask that all personal items be placed in the storage area while training at the Studio and taken with you each time you leave.  We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal equipment or items.

COVID Guidelines effective 4/1/2021 based on IDPH guidance:

  • Personal Training will continue to be offered both in-studio and online. 

  • Group Training will be held both virtually and in-studio.  In-Studio Group Training will have reduced capacity limits with social distancing enforced, and designated exercises spaces.  There will be no shared equipment during class and no partner workouts, etc. 

  • Advanced booking is required for all trainings/appointments/consultations to maintain capacity limits with necessary physical distancing.

  • Masks must be worn at all times indoors.  Everyone is required to supply their own masks. 

  • Hand sanitation stations are available - hand sanitizer is recommended to be used before and after training, at minimum. 

  • Clients must bring their own exercise mat.  Mats will also be available to purchase at the Studio. 

  • Everyone must wear full coverage footwear (shoes or grippy socks) indoors. 

  • Equipment provided by J.Gil Fitness must be cleaned by Clients after use and placed in the designated “used equipment” area, and then cleaned and disinfected again by Trainers.  You are also welcome to bring your own equipment, if desired.

  • A transition period will be between all trainings/appointments/consultations to help with social distancing.  This also provides time to clean and disinfect high touch surfaces and high traffic areas.  The Studio is cleaned and disinfected based on CDC guidelines using EPA approved products multiple times per day. 

  • The Studio is equipped with MERV 11 filters, live plants, and an air purifier to assist with air quality.

  • If you are not feeling well, stay home.
