Jennifer Gilliland aka Jenn Gil is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist.  She is also certified in myofascial release foam rolling and vibration technology, mindful meditation, Rumble by R.I.P.P.E.D., TRX, PLYOGA, and battle ropes.  Jenn's fitness background includes yoga and meditation, amateur boxer, local running club member, strength and endurance exerciser, and speed skater.

In addition to training, Jenn works full-time in the Finance industry, which brings an understanding of busy schedules and the self-care necessary to stay healthy (both mentally and physically) while keeping up.  Let's transform your lifestyle together, and have some fun along the way.

Shaylee Hayes has been a Registered Nurse for almost 9 years and is certified in Critical Care.  By trade, Shaylee is an Adult and Pediatric Critical Care Nurse.  In March 2021, she shifted her focus to solely pediatrics and accepted the position of Pediatric and Pediatric ICU nursing manager.  Shaylee is married with two children (3.5 years and 11.5 years) that she enjoys spending most of her time with along with working with plants, and exercising. Shaylee has done multiple races, including three half marathons, and enjoys participating in a variety of group training classes. 


On top of Shaylee's long list of accomplishments, she is also a Certified BarreAbove instructor.

Sami Roch started her fitness journey with J.Gil Fitness in 2018, and became a certified TRX Trainer in 2021.  She spent many years as a softball pitcher and now plays casually on a co-ed slow pitch team.  In her free time, Sami enjoys hanging with friends, floating on the river, hiking, and hunting for bugs and other creatures with her Son. 


It's guaranteed that you'll catch her at the Studio blasting rock music while sipping her coffee. Sami wants you to feel encouraged, motivated, and challenged while also enjoying your time at the Studio.

Where is J.Gil Fitness located?

  • Our private fitness studio is located at 313B S. Staley Rd. in Champaign, IL.

    • In-Studio Training:  The Studio is located just North of the gas station at Staley and Springfield - 313B S. Staley Rd.

      • Parking is available directly in front of the Studio.  Please do not block the first bay on our side.  Additional parking is located in the warehouse parking lot North of the Studio.

    • Outdoor Training:  Returning Spring 2022, but we have that outdoorsy feel at the Studio when we open the garage door.

    • Live, Virtual Training:  Zoom streaming link is provided in MyPTHub under calendar > events, or via the OnPodio class schedule.

    • On-Demand Fitness:  Stream free content via our YouTube channel.

    • Pop Up Events and Class Previews:  Details sent by e-mail per event.

What are the studio hours?

  • The studio is open for scheduled training times and appointments only.  Group Training times can be found here and must be booked in advance.  Always check the Active Calendar for schedule changes, Studio closures, pop up events, and more.

What packages are available?  Where can I purchase?

  • Memberships, packages, guides, gift cards, and merchandise can be purchased here.  Purchases are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be split between multiple clients. 

  • Group Training:

    • Memberships are available for 4x, 6x, or unlimited credits to be used for any regularly scheduled Group Training.  Memberships via MyPTHub are set to recurring billing every 4 weeks and memberships via OnPodio are set to recurring billing every week.  Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle.  Memberships require no additional commitment - cancel or freeze the next billing cycle by e-mail with at least 5 business days notice.

    • FlexPass packages are available to drop in 1x, 5x, or 10x Group Trainings.  Credits expire 1 year from purchase date. 

    • Advanced class sign up is required and opens 1 week prior to class start time, and remains open until class start time.

    • Group Training Cancellation Policy:  Clients may cancel advanced sign ups up to 3 hours prior to start with no penalty.  Cancellations made within 3 hours of start time will result in loss of credit.  Classes with less than 2 booked participants will be cancelled 3 hours prior to start time, or 9P CST the night before our morning classes.  Classes cancelled by the Studio prior to start time will have no penalty.

  • Personal Training:

    • Online Personal Training packages are available to train 3x per week for 4 or 12 weeks with recurring billing.  Online Personal Training requires no additional commitment - cancel or freeze the next billing cycle by e-mail with at least 5 business days notice.  

    • Looking for more or less than 3 online workouts per week?  Looking for in-studio or live virtual Personal Training sessions?  Personalized packages are available - Contact us for more details.

    • Personal Training Cancellation Policy:  Clients may cancel in-studio/live virtual sessions up to 12 hours prior to start with no penalty.  Cancellations made within 12 hours of start time will result in loss of credit.  Sessions will be cancelled 10 minutes after start time if Client is not present, and has not provided advanced notice.  Sessions cancelled by the Studio prior to start time will have no penalty.

  • Workout Guides include unlimited access for 1 year, and can be downloaded for future use.

  • On-Demand Fitness includes FREE* unlimited access.  *STC anytime.

Any referral or discount programs?

  • New Clients* receive a free Personal Training consultation or Group Training class.  Contact us to sign up.

  • We want to meet your friends!  Refer a new client and receive 15% off** your next billing cycle after they sign up for a membership.

  • Discounts offered at J.Gil Fitness (contact us for the discount code to be used at checkout):

    • Receive a 15% discount*** when you sign up for both a Personal Training and Group Training membership. 

    • Receive a 15% discount*** when multiple people in your household have an active membership. 

    • Veterans receive 15% off*** Online Personal Training and Group Training - Unlimited packages.

*New clients defined as any person who has not trained with J.Gil Fitness in past 2 years.  Free class not applicable to events.  **Membership packages only, defined as package with recurring billing.  One time discount cannot be combined with additional offers, specials, or discounts, and does not roll to the next billing cycle.  New Client must mention referral at time of sign up.  ***Cannot be combined with additional offers, specials, or discounts.  Applicable to membership packages only, defined as a package with recurring billing.  Multi-membership discount taken on lowest package.  Proof of same household required.

Who can participate?

  • All fitness levels welcome.  Must be 18 or older to participate, exceptions may be made on an individual basis for Personal Training only.  Please consult with a Physician prior to the start of any fitness program. 

Can I participate with an injury?

  • You know your body best.  We always practice safety first and encourage you to consult with a Physician.  If you were seen by a Physician, a release is required prior to training with us.   

Is equipment provided?

  • Yes, equipment is provided by J.Gil Fitness for all in-studio and outdoor trainings, and pop up events.  For virtual and on-demand trainings, you are responsible for your own equipment, or similar items for use.  Equipment required by class is listed in MyPTHub by class under calendar > events.

  • Clients must bring their own exercise mat for Personal Training, and Group Training - CampEx, TREx, and Barre.

  • Full coverage footwear is required to be worn at all times in-studio.

Is there a place to change clothes at the Studio?

  • Yes, however space is limited so we ask, if possible, you arrive dressed ready to workout.

Are there showers?

  • No. 

Is there air conditioning?

  • Yes, the Studio is equipped with both a/c and heat.  However, we will have the garage door open during nice weather so please plan accordingly.

Can I leave my personal items at the Studio?

  • We ask that all personal items remain in the lobby while training at the Studio and taken with you each time you leave.  We do not provide long term storage at the Studio.  We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal equipment or items.

COVID-19 Guidelines effective 11/1/2021 based on IDPH and CDC guidance:

  • Personal Training will continue to be offered with in-studio, live virtual, and online options.  Fully vaccinated trainers and clients are required to wear their masks until reaching their designated exercise spaces.  Participants that do not meet those qualifications are required to wear their masks at all times.  If you are more comfortable wearing a mask regardless of vaccination status, please do so.

  • Group Training will continue to be offered with in-studio, live virtual, and outdoor options.  Group Training will have reduced capacity limits with physical distancing enforced, and designated exercises spaces.  There will be no shared equipment during class and no partner workouts, etc.  Fully vaccinated trainers and clients are required to wear their masks until reaching their designated exercise spaces.  Participants that do not meet that those qualifications are required to wear their masks at all times.  If you are more comfortable wearing a mask regardless of vaccination status, please do so.

  • Everyone is required to supply their own masks. 

  • The garage door at the Studio will be at least partially open during all active training sessions when the outside temperature is 50* or above.

  • Hand sanitation stations are available - hand sanitizer or hand washing is recommended before and after training.  

  • Equipment provided by J.Gil Fitness must be cleaned by Clients after use and placed in the designated “used equipment” area to be disinfected again by Trainers.  You are also welcome to bring your own equipment, if desired.

  • Advanced booking is required for all trainings/appointments/consultations to maintain capacity limits.

  • There will be a transition period between all trainings/appointments/consultations to assist with necessary physical distancing, and provide the Trainers time to clean and disinfect high traffic areas and surfaces using EPA approved products.  The Studio is also cleaned and disinfected multiple times per day using EPA approved products.  And the Studio is equipped with MERV 11 filters, live plants, and an air purifier to assist with air quality.

  • If you are not feeling well, please stay home.  If you have been in contact with a confirmed case or have personally received a positive test, a negative test is required prior to returning to the Studio regardless of vaccination status.
