  • What are the operating hours of JGF?
    The J.Gil Fitness studio is open by appointment only. You can book a free class or consultation, Group Training class at www.jgilfitness.com/grouptraining, or contact us by email/phone/text to book personal training or nutrition coaching session. J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to modify and/or cancel any class, session, trainer, program, and/or event with written notice when possible. See our terms and conditions for additional information.
  • What should I bring to training sessions?
    Every body is required to bring an exercise mat to all classes/sessions. A sweat towel and water bottle is also encouraged. Equipment is provided for in-studio training sessions. For online, live virtual, and on-demand trainings, you are responsible for your own equipment. We ask that all personal items remain in the lobby while training and taken with you each time you leave. We do not provide long term storage at the studio and are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal equipment or items. While we love our community’s young and furry ones, unattended children and pets are not permitted in the studio. ​
  • Should I train with an injury?
    You know your body best. We always practice safety first and encourage you to consult with a Physician before starting any fitness and/or nutrition program, and any time you have experienced an injury. If you were seen by a Physician for an injury, a signed release is required prior to training with us again.
  • Where is JGF located?
    The private J.Gil Fitness studio is located at 313B S. Staley Rd. in Champaign, IL. Take the first turn just North of the gas station at Staley and Springfield. Look for the only white door - that's us! Parking is available directly in front of the studio with additional parking available in the warehouse parking lot North of the studio. Do not park directly in front of a garage door that is not ours.
  • Who can train with JGF?
    J.Gil Fitness is a safe space for every body, and all fitness levels are welcome. You must be 18 or older to participate, exceptions may be made on an individual basis for Personal Training only. Please consult with a Physician prior to the start of any fitness and/or nutrition program. While we love our community’s young and furry ones, unattended children and pets are not permitted in the studio.
  • How do I modify my package or membership?
    Subject to certain restrictions by law, all sales are final. Your initial purchase of any package or membership may be cancelled with request sent by email within 3 business days after initial purchase, and all monies paid, subject to any portion used, shall be refunded to you. To modify or cancel your existing package(s) or membership(s), email us at least 15 days prior to the next scheduled billing cycle. Requests received via other methods will not be processed. Requests to modify or cancel a membership received within 15 days of the next billing cycle will result in one additional billing (as outlined by package or membership) charged. Please note that any required commitment terms as outlined at time of purchase may affect eligibility to modify or cancel. J.Gil Fitness offers the option pause any membership up to 3 billing cycles per rolling calendar year. Requests to pause will be processed for only one billing cycle per request. To pause your existing membership(s), email us at least 15 days prior to the next billing cycle. Requests received via other methods will not be processed. Requests received within 15 days of the next billing cycle will result in one additional billing (as outlined by membership) charged prior to membership pause. A processing fee of 20% of the regular price of your package or membership will be assessed on any request to pause, and will be applied to your account as a credit towards the next billing cycle. Please note that any required commitment terms as outlined at time of purchase will be extended respectively with any pause request. Please see our terms and conditions for additional information.   • How do I join JGF?
    We know you'll love JGF so we're making it easy to join with your first class or consultation free! When you're ready, you can join JGF through a variety of Group Training, Personal Training, Nutrition Coaching, and JGF On-Demand packages and memberships to transform your lifestyle. Ultimately, your goals and experience will determine the right package and/or membership for you. Reach out with any questions.
  • How do I access virtual sessions and ONJGF?
    Live virtual training sessions can be accessed via the streaming link on the calendar, or your booking confirmation email. Equipment required for live virtual Group Training classes or Personal Training sessions will be sent by chat to booked participants prior to class start. Online Personal Training workouts can be accessed via the EverFit app. ONJGF can be accessed via the website or App.
  • How do I join the JGF Walking Club "Explore"?
    Our walking club "Explore" has an exclusive package that can be purchased. Explore is also included in our unlimited Group Training memberships and our in-studio/live virtual Personal Training memberships.
  • Are advanced bookings required for Group Training?
    We keep our classes small to provide a personalized experience making advanced booking required for all Group Trainings. Classes can be booked as early as 3 days prior to class start. In-studio bookings close at class start. Virtual bookings close 30 minutes prior to class start. Sign up via the Group Training Calendar or Fit by WIX App with an active package or membership. Class full? Try the waitlist. We'll notify you if a spot becomes available. J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to modify and/or cancel any class, session, trainer, program, and/or event with written notice when possible.   • Do Group Training class credits expire?
    Group Training membership credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. Class credits associated with Group Training drop in packages expire 6 months and 1 year from purchase date as noted at time of purchase. Please review our terms and conditions for additional information.
  • What is the cancellation policy for Group Training classes?
    Classes may be cancelled up to 3 hours prior to start without penalty. Cancel via the website or app. Classes cancelled within 3 hours of class start will result in loss of that class credit. No shows result in loss of class credit. Excessive late cancellations and/or no shows will be handled on a case-by-case basis and notification will be sent by email. Classes with less than 2 booked participants will be cancelled approximately 3 hours prior to start time for evening classes, or 9P CST the night before morning classes. Booked participants will be notified by email of any cancellations. Classes cancelled by the Studio prior to start time will have no penalty. J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to modify and/or cancel any class, session, trainer, program, and/or event with written notice when possible.   • Are advanced bookings required for Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching sessions and check ins?
    The J.Gil Fitness Studio is open by appointment only. Your Trainer will book your personal training or nutrition coaching sessions and check ins based on availability discussed at your consultation. Booked sessions can be viewed via the website or app. Online Personal Training workouts will be posted weekly via our app by the end of every Monday. Please review our cancellation policy within our terms & conditions.
  • Do Personal Training session credits expire?
    Personal Training session credits expire 6 months from purchase date. Online Personal Training credits expire after the participant has been inactive for 2 weeks or more with an active membership. New workouts will not be programmed during any inactive time. Program will not be extended by any time inactive unless previously arranged with your Trainer. Online Personal Training credits expire immediately without an active Online PT membership unless previously arranged with your Trainer.   • What is the cancellation policy for Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching sessions and check ins?
    Personal Training sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 12 hours (unless otherwise noted) prior to start without penalty. Message your Trainer via the app or email to cancel a session. Excessive cancellations or no shows will be handled on a case-by-case basis and you will be notified by email. Schedule sessions will not be extended due to late arrival, breaks for personal calls, etc. Sessions will be cancelled 10 minutes after start time if client is not present and has not provided advanced notice nor contacted the Trainer (i.e. no show). No shows result in loss of session credit. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled by J.Gil Fitness will have no penalty. J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to modify or cancel any session, schedule, trainer, or program with written notice. Please review our terms & conditions for additional details.

WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

 

By participating in any J.Gil Fitness service/program/event, and/or purchasing any J.Gil Fitness package/membership, you signify your acknowledgement and voluntary acceptance of all terms, conditions, and waivers.

I (the “client”) am voluntarily participating in fitness and/or nutrition program(s) or event(s) offered by J.Gil Fitness during which I may receive instruction and personalized attention. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to the start of any fitness and/or nutrition program(s) or event(s). I agree to disclose any physical limitations, disabilities, ailments, injuries, or impairments that may affect my ability to participate in said program(s) or event(s). I certify that I am capable of performing in such program(s) or event(s). I commit to ask for clarification, assistance, and modifications for any of the program(s) or event(s) I am unsure of how to execute properly and safely. I accept that results may vary and are not guaranteed. I agree to not alter, duplicate, destroy, or distribute any materials and property provided in any form, as it is confidential and for J.Gil Fitness use only. I consent to being photographed or recorded during participation in the program(s) or event(s). I understand that the images may be edited, published, and distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product. I further authorize that the images, my name, and results may be used for any lawful purpose and in any form. No compensation will be payable to me for use. I assume and accept sole responsibility of my voluntary participation in any fitness and/or nutrition program(s) or event(s). I knowingly, voluntarily, and expressively waive any claim I may have against J.Gil Fitness, and all J.Gil Fitness Trainers. I, along with my heirs or legal representatives, forever release, waive, and discharge J.Gil Fitness, and all J.Gil Fitness Trainers, from any and all responsibilities, liabilities, causes of action, and lawsuits, present or future, directly or indirectly related in any manner to my interpretation, implementation, or participation in any program(s) or event(s).​

J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to modify terms and conditions at any time, in our sole discretion.  Updates to terms and conditions will be noted within the terms and conditions post, will become effective immediately, and you agree to be bound by any such revisions.  Material changes will be sent with written notice and become effective after such notice has been sent to you.  Your failure to cease use of any J.Gil Fitness services/programs will constitute your voluntary acceptance of any modified terms, conditions, and waivers.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

General Information:

An active membership or package is required to access programs, training software, team pages, etc. as noted in your package and/or membership at time of purchase.  Any and all access will be terminated upon membership or package cancellation, except as necessary to finish a program at which time access will be terminated at the end of the program.

J.Gil Fitness does not guarantee access to membership(s) and/or package(s), scheduled training session(s) and/or class(es), or program(s).  J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to modify or cancel any membership(s) and/or package(s), scheduled trainer(s) and/or training session(s), or program(s) at any time without notice.  Written notice will be provided when possible.

 

All purchases are non-refundable, non-returnable, non-transferable, and may not be split between multiple clients.

 

Training after an injury:

Referral Program:

Refer a new member and receive $20 off your next billing cycle after they sign up for a membership*.

*Discounts cannot be combined with additional offers, specials, or discounts.  New member must mention referral at time of sign up.

Group Training Memberships, Packages, & Programs:

Memberships are defined as packages with recurring billing using a card on file (i.e. automatic payments). 

  • Billing cycles are effective as of the purchase date, and are not modified by program start date, reschedules, etc. 

  • Requests to modify, pause, or cancel a membership must be sent by e-mail to exceed@jgilfitness.com at least 15 business days prior to the next billing (10 business days prior to the next billing cycle for memberships purchased before 11/15/2023.  5 business days prior to the next billing cycle for memberships purchased before 3/1/2023).  Requests submitted via any other outlet will not be processed.  Requests to modify, pause, or cancel a membership received within 15 business days of the next billing cycle will result in one final billing cycle charged (as outlined by membership).  J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to deny excessive requests to modify or pause any membership for any reason.

    • Memberships may be paused up to 3 billing cycles per rolling calendar year.

    • A $15 fee will be assessed on any request to pause, and will be applied to your account as a credit towards your next full membership billing cycle (effective 9/1/2023).  Pauses will be processed for only one billing cycle per request.

Group Training package and membership credits are for regularly scheduled Group Trainings and Open Gyms (i.e. class), and do not apply to events unless otherwise noted. 

  • Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. 

  • Group Training FlexPass package expiration dates:

    • X10 FlexPass credits expire 1 year from purchase date. 

  • X5 FlexPass credits expire 6 months from purchase date.  Packages purchased prior to 3/1/2023 expire 1 year from purchase date.

Additional terms and conditions specific to Group Training memberships with required commitment terms (New 4/21/2023):

  • Membership is set for recurring billing monthly with 6-month required commitment.  Membership will automatically renew every 6 months with monthly recurring billing and 6-month required commitment until cancelled.  Please note that any required commitment terms outlined at time of purchase may affect eligibility to modify or cancel a membership.

  • Requests to pause membership will respectively extend any required commitment terms outlined at time of purchase.

Group Training policies: 

  • Advanced class sign up is required and opens 3 days prior to class start time (Changed from 1 week effective 3/15/2022.)  Signs up for in-studio sessions close at class start.  Sign ups for virtual sessions close 30 minutes prior to class start.

  • If you are unable to attend a booked class, please cancel your booking.  Clients may cancel advanced sign ups up to 3 hours prior to start time with no penalty.  Cancellations made within 3 hours of start time will result in loss of session credit.  Excessive cancellations or no shows will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the Studio's discretion.  Clients will be notified by e-mail of any changes in terms and conditions due to excessive cancellations. 

  • J.Gil Fitness does not guarantee access classes and/or events on the Group Training schedule/calendar.  J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to modify and/or cancel any class/session/event, trainer, or program with written notice. 

    • Classes with less than 2 booked participants will be cancelled by the Studio approximately 3 hours prior to start time or 9P CST the night before morning classes.  Classes cancelled by the Studio prior to start time will have no penalty.

  • Live Virtual classes are encouraged for anyone who cannot be present for the entire scheduled class time.
     

Personal Training/Nutrition Coaching/ONJGF Memberships, Packages, & Programs:

Memberships are defined as packages with recurring billing using a card on file (i.e. automatic payments). 

  • Billing cycles are effective as of the purchase date, and are not modified by program start date, reschedules, etc. 

  • Requests to modify, pause, or cancel a membership must be sent by e-mail to exceed@jgilfitness.com at least 15 business days prior to the next billing (10 business days prior to the next billing cycle for memberships purchased before 11/15/2023.  5 business days prior to the next billing cycle for memberships purchased before 3/1/2023).  Requests submitted via any other outlet will not be processed.  Requests to modify, pause, or cancel a membership received within 15 business days of the next billing cycle will result in one final billing cycle charged (as outlined by membership).  J.Gil Fitness reserves the right to deny excessive requests to modify or pause any membership for any reason.

  • Class credits are valid with an active In-Studio or Live Virtual PT membership only, and will be converted to an account credit to use towards a new package or membership when Personal Training membership ends.  No refunds will be issued.

In-Studio and Live Virtual Personal Training, and Nutrition Coaching policies: 

  • Clients may cancel or reschedule Personal Training/Nutrition Coaching sessions up to 12 hours prior to start time with no penalty.  Cancellations or reschedules made within 12 hours of start time will result in loss of session credit.  Excessive cancellations or no shows will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the Studio's discretion.  Clients will be notified by e-mail of any changes in terms and conditions due to excessive cancellations or reschedules - those changes remain in effect.  Sessions cancelled or rescheduled by the Studio prior to start time will be credited back to the client's account for use at a later date.

  • Sessions will be cancelled 10 minutes after start time if client is not present and has not provided advanced notice nor contacted the Trainer (i.e. no show).  Session lengths/end times will not be extended due to late arrival, breaks for personal matters, etc.

  • Session time slots are reserved at time of membership purchase and with each additional billing.  If membership is cancelled, session time slots will be released and made available for others after any booked sessions, or if the Client has not participated in program(s) nor communicated with the Trainer for any 2 week time frame.  Scheduled time slots are not guaranteed in the event of a reschedule after the request to cancel a membership has been received, or if the Client has not participated in program(s) nor communicated with the Trainer for any 2 week time frame.

  • Personal Training sessions do not expire with an active PT membership.  Sessions expire 6 months from purchase date without an active PT membership.

  • Nutrition Coaching sessions expire immediately without an active Nutrition Coaching membership.

Nutrition Coaching requires a free MyFitnessPal account.

Nutrition Coaching policies:

  • Program begins immediately after initial check-in unless otherwise arranged with Trainer.  This start date does not modify the membership billing cycle.

  • Clients are expected to complete nutrition logs daily, check-ins weekly, and periodically update progress tools for accountability and results. 

JGF On-Demand memberships include unlimited access to pre-recorded content anytime, anywhere via ONJGF (fka JGF On-Demand).
 

Online Personal Training Memberships, Packages, & Programs:

Online Personal Training policies:

  • Program begins the following Monday after initial check-in unless otherwise arranged with Trainer.  This start date does not modify the membership billing cycle.

  • Clients are expected to complete weekly check-ins, log workouts, and periodically update progress tools for accountability and results.  No new workouts will be posted once a Client has been inactive for 2+ weeks, this does not extend the program length unless previously arranged with the Trainer.  New workouts will resume once the Client has checked-in with the Trainer and is caught up on previously added workouts.
