I couldn't think of a better way to kick off my "back to blogging" than to discuss the highly important and often overlooked topic of hydration. And when it comes to hydration, water is the winner! Benefits of drinking water include: flushing out toxins (hint: clearer skin), boosting the immune system, and increasing energy. That's just to name a few. And why wouldn't you want to do your part to boost your immune system? Help that body of yours out, especially during a pandemic! And if you're anything like me, you'll do close to anything for more energy.
You've likely seen the 8x8 rule - drink eight 8 ounce glasses of water per day. And that is an absolute great place to start. Once you get that habit down, consider transitioning to drinking between half an ounce to an ounce of water for each pound you weigh every day. This isn't a one mold fits all topic, just like almost anything else in fitness/health/wellness so figure out what feels best for your body and activity level. P.S. yes, you will have to pee more.
